Parent Partnership Literacy

A vital message arising from extensive research is that reading rewards children in many ways: the social, psychological and academic benefits are enormous. I would heartily recommend helping your children to create a daily reading routine of 20 minutes per day. In busy lives, I know that this is sometimes difficult and it is an important priority at Corpus Christi for us to work with parents to support students’ literacy skills.

For those children who attended our Literacy evening on 29th September, we hope that you have managed to complete Mrs Qadri’s 10 Day Reading Challenge: she is very much looking forward to finding out how you fared! 

We look forward to meeting parents again at our next Parent Partnership Literacy Evening on Thursday 12 January 2023. At the session, we will explore lively and exciting reading choices in more detail and will look at reading demands across the curriculum.
